Magic & the Body Mini Writing Workshop (1 day)
The Body as an Altar:
Writing prompts will be based around ritual, sacred spaces that stem from our bodies, building a writing altar, the connection of body and nature, and how we hold stories in our bodies and how to release them.
This workshop is open to 20 writers. This workshop is fast-paced and intended to get creativity flowing.
Let's write together! This space is intended as a generative space. This means we will write as much as possible in the span of the 3 hours. There will be an opportunity to share your work toward the end of the workshop. There will be a 30 minute open window for anyone who wants to stay and share!
About me: I'm Rios! I have been leading writing workshops since 2018 based on body stories and magic. I have a passion for writing about what calls closest to my heart. I love to write the absurd, the weird, the truths sitting in my chest. I love writers. I love storytellers. I love poets. I love sharing these prompts and seeing where it takes the imaginations of other writers. I hope to inspire stories out of you, whether it's for you or to expand on and submit somewhere to get published.
My intention is to keep costs accessible. For anyone who wants to join this workshop, but financial resources are an obstacle, there are 2 scholarships available for this workshop. Please email me or message me via Instagram. There is no formal application needed.
