Magic & the Body 1 day writing workshop
An Alchemy of Body History
Writing prompts will stem around writing from the history of our bodies, the concept of home in our bodies, writing spells in our work when writing from memories, writing to joy and to our inner teen and child.
This workshop is open to 20 writers. This workshop is fast-paced and intended to get creativity flowing.
Let's write together! This space is intended as a generative space. This means we will write as much as possible in the span of the 3 hours. There will be an opportunity to share your work after the workshop is completed. I will have a 30 minute open window for anyone who wants to stay and share!
About me: I'm Rios! I have been leading writing workshops since 2018 based on body stories and magic. I have a passion for writing about what calls closest to my heart. I love to write the absurd, the weird, the truths sitting in my chest. I love writers. I love storytellers. I love poets. I love sharing these prompts and seeing where it takes the imaginations of other writers. I hope to inspire stories out of you, whether it's for you or to expand on and submit somewhere to get published.
My intention is to keep costs accessible. For anyone who wants to join this workshop, but financial resources are an obstacle, there are 2 scholarships available for this workshop. Please email me or message me via Instagram. There is no formal application needed.
